Question SD Card not working

I have now bought a HP 2210 to run Tom Tom with my Road Angel. I have also bought a Kingston 256mb SD card but when I insert it into the HP it does not seem to have it's presence recognised - hence cannot load up Tom Tom as there is not enough memory space.

Am I doing something dumb?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried installing maps onto the card yet?

No - cannot find the icon or location for the SD card either on the PDA or my laptop when they are syncronised together. Downloading the maps results in 'not enough memory' warning as its trying to load Tom Tom onto the PDA memory.
All I can find on the PDA is 'iPAQ File Store' and thats where I have been trying to load the maps.
Many thanks for the prompt responses. Phil d'A

Then you're not doing anything dumb. Either your PDA has a problem with its card reader or your card is faulty. If you can try another card that should confirm the problem either way.
