Default IPAQ2210 to Nokia 6310i

Hi all ..

I've just bought a 2210 with TT2 and extremely happy with the package.

However, I would appreciate any advice on using my Nokia 6310i with the Ipaq to retrieve my email. I have paired the two devices but this is as far as I can go with my extremely limited knowledge and experience.

Do I need any additional devices to do this ( bluetooth modem etc ) ?

Many thanks for your assistance.

Regards

Glen ..

Glen what you need to do is create the link with your mobile phone via bluetooth manager, setup you phone as the default dialup. Now all you have to do is create a email account and use the bluetooth connection to dialup.

Sorry for my dimness .. BUT ...

a) Do I have to have to activate any special services on my phone WAP / GPRS etc ( none I which I know how to use ! )

b) I don't really know how to set-up my connections and default dial-up.

c) What is the sequence I use for checking my email, is it all activated from the PDA or do I have to dial a number on the phone first ?

Any advice at present is greatly appreciated ..

Regards

Glen ..

It is really up to you, you can use GPRS or you can setup a account with e.g freeserve and your mobile phone dials there phone number. What i will do is email you over a pdf file that will explain some more about the configuration

Hi Stevie,

Could you forward me that document as well. I am trying to set my 2210 up to access my work exchange servers via a dialup link. I have managed to successfully dial in to the LAN, but can't get to my email.

I am sure I am nearly there, but just missing a trick somewhere!

Ali

I'm not very tecno minded so would you please send this info to me I'm also having trouble getting connected with Ipaq 2200 series and I use a nokia 6310i bluetooth. I'm assuming this phone acts as a modem.

what problem are you referring to hawickster, as both PDA's run on PPC 2003.

For PPC 2003 and GPRS on 02 there are a few different settings you need to do, this can be found @ http://www.filesaveas.com/pocketpcwap.html
