Bluetooth GPS - Data logging

Hi all,

I'd like to get a bluetooth GPS receiver for the odd bit of satnav with my PDA but mainly to track my mileage (I claim everything I do during the week). I'm looking at the trine which has 500K of data logging, does anyone know if this "switches on" automatically when you power it up (i.e. turn the engine on).

I know this is an overkill (I could just hit the rest button on the dash) but I'd like to do it!!!
