Unhappy TomTom city maps unable to load

I have recently purchased TomTom CityMaps for Palm Series m500, which I know is getting on a bit now. I am having trouble trying to load it. When I attempt to load it, I keep getting the message:-

'Your PC does not support the devices for there are applications in this passage. Please install the supporting software first and run setup again'.

As a novice I am not certain what this message means and what software it is relating to. Can anyone help get this programme going so I can use it in my palm pda?

Hi Jed,
I had the same problem.
I went to
http://www.expansys.com/forumthread....ad=5&man=TOMTO
and downloaded the file setup39.zip and unzipped it in the CityMaps folder.
I run the new "palmsetup.exe" file instead of the old "setup.exe" file and it worked.
I hope it to be of help to you too.

Default TomTom City Maps for Palm series m500

Hi Batshadow,
I am very indebted to you. Your advice was spot on and enabled me to download the zip file and get my palm up and running with the Tom Tom citymaps software. I have now got the palm connected to my Navaman gps500 and it is working perfectly.
Many thanks to a greatful reader

Best wishes
