Angry problem with tomtom navigator 5 and bt77 bluetooth receiver

I have a dell axim x30 and a bt77 nemerix chipset bluetooth receiver,
i formatted my sd card, and have reinstalled tomtom, it all works, but every time that i want to use tomtom i have to go through rthe process of setting up to link my pocket pc to tomtom.
i receive info that i am connected to the satellites and can see them on the screen, the problem is if i then shut tom tom down, every tine that i restart it, i then have to go through and select the icon with a question mark on it, the ppp slave and then it is ok.
can someone please help, it used to be ok before i formatted and reinstalled, and i cannot find the manufacturers website or in fact any info as to what to do to correct this problem ??

Sounds like you're letting the OS handle the connection rather than TT.

Remove any settings on the dell/OS relating to GPS. All you need to do is follow - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/module...wtopic&t=25947

thanks for your message.
i have done this and it works, problem is bluetooth will not start up with tt, it used to, its frustrating that i cannot remember the settings, i should have made note of them.
at the momenton GPS status it shows other cable NMEA GPS on port 7. i have tried selecting other bluetooth device in configure but it does not work, although thinking back, i am sure that this is what is was set to before i formatted the sd card.
i must confess, i am not sure how to remove any settings related to gps on the dell/os, i have searched for files with gps or tomtom names but found nothing.
many thanks

Under settings (onth dell os) you'll find in one of the tabs a GPS manager. Remove all the settings mapping your receiver to a virtual port.

You should then use the settings as provided previously.

I had a similar problem and what was happening was that it was taking a few seconds for the GPS & TomTom to talk to each other. Wait a few seconds more & see if it connects by it self
