Default New 2 PDAs But Need One Now

I am new to PDAs. It must not be a mobile phone. I just want a handheld
machine with a stylus to type and edit documents that can emailed to Win XP based computers, where the document will be further edited from adobe acrobat, ms word, etc. I will also need the pda to access hotmail, gmail, and down load files to the pda for viewing as jpegs, msword files tif files, pdf files. I will then need the stylus to make notes into the documents and email them back. This is nature of my job. Also I need the pda to access files on my usb memory stick, for editing. It must have antivirus upgradable program.

But i dont want he pda to be a phone. I carry a separate mobile phone and am happy with that.

So the best pda that will do this, with the max ram, internet performance, would be?????? HP ipaq 214??? or is there a latest version of this? I suppose if a newer model comes with a phone, i will just ignore that function of the HP ipaq. I just need it to be a good pda. So what would you advise me to purchase.

The ipaq 214 or 114 would suit what you need.
Buy HP iPAQ 114
Buy HP iPAQ 214

They are a similar spec but you would probably see more benefit in the 214 if you're doing a lot of documents or spreadsheets due to the bigger screen.

The only thing these wont do is connect to your flash drive as PDA's don't have a USB host. What you can do instead is get a large memory card for the PDA and store your documents there instead of the flash drive.
We sell an 8GB card at the moment.
Buy Kingston 8GB microSDHC Memory Card with SD Adaptor

The PDA's come with a USB cable to connect to a PC to transfer data so you can use the PDA instead of the Flash drive.

These have Pocket Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. You can open and edit documents and spreadsheets and also view presentations. Excel will not run or save macros just standard charts and sheets.

They will connect to your phone using bluetooth so you can access the web and they also have wifi so you can access wifi hotspots for internet access. Antivirus software is available for PDA's although its not something we sell at the moment.

We stock case's, car chargers, screen protectors and folding keyboards if you need accessories.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Default About getting on the internet with hp ipac 214

About using bluetooth to get on the internet from hp ipac 214. I will be using my mobile phone to do this. But I just have normal inexpensive mobile phone. It just sends and recieves phones calls and sends sms messages. It cannot send emails or surf the net. Nor does it have a camera. Its a simple Nokia. Is this phone sufficient to get on the internet for my hp ipac 214 via bluetooth??? Or do i need a phone that gets on the internet?

You would need a phone that connects to GPRS or 3G to access the internet.

You should check with your network what sort of data plans they have. If you are downloading a lot docs and pdf's it might end up getting expensive.

The 114 is not a phone.

We do sell a few different pda phones.

614, 914, voice messenger and data messenger.

The voice messenger is a smart phone so no touch screen The data messenger has a slide out keyboard and a touch screen. Both of these have only just been released.
