Charging HP114

Hi,
I have been using the above with tom tom. I am using it in the car and all works well but it will not allow me any longer use then about 3 hours. Its pluged into the gig lighter all the light are on but it does not seem to allow me to use it as if it was connected to an External power. The charge is set to usb charge fast. I have tried a number of leads but with the same resualt.

Some mini USB cables wont work with the HP mini USB connections.

Do you have a USB cigarette lighter adaptor? You could try that and the original USB cable that comes with the PDA.

Thanks i have tried that but will give it another go. I wil let you know.

Well we have now tried 5 cables and that includes the one from HP which came with the 114 no joy.

I have ordered the travel pack from hp and see if that works but it,s doubling up on other stuff. He thats life.

Hp say that they can not guarantee as yoiu say martin that all mini cables will work. I have tried the original cable it shoes it charging but still cut off in the middle of a journey.

If you press start-- settings- system tab and select power.

One of the tabs is for USB charging. what do you have selected here?

Well I have tried again on a trip up to Scotland and it lasted for two hours then shout down. It will charge from the cig lighter but it will not allower it run from the cig lighter.

I have sent all that kit back to HP for a replacment hoping thats its the cables.

Keep on tying he he.

Should have kept the old one thats life.
