Default rz1710 keeps shutting down

Hi all,

My 1710 froze while running TomTom and would do nothing until I did a soft reset.
When it booted after the soft reset, it got to the password request but would go no further (tried several times).
I bit the bullet and did a hard reset. Now it boots to the screen config page but after a second or two, the screen goes blank and it can only be roused with a push of the reset, then gets to screen config, screen goes blank and so on...

I only really use it for TomTom but would be a bit gutted to lose it.

Is there anything I can do to sort it out??

Thanks in advance
Gareth

If you've done a hard reset and its not helping then its going to be a hardware fault.

You could try iPAQ Repair and Parts :: ipaq spare parts replacement battery HP pocket pc repairs ipaq screen repair Compaq spare batteries but the pirce of a repair might not be too much different from a buying a tomtom unit these days.
