What type of GPS unit are you using with the 4700 as I have seen issues with some of these ipaq's when using Bluetooth for the GPS and have a file I can e-mail to you which should get it working (if this is the same issue). Send me a PM with your e-mail address as thats safer than posting it on the forum.

We purchased five 4700's a few years ago and two of them wouldn't work correctly with the BT GPS the other three were fine, all had same ROM's loaded - really wierd issue - Mike

With the 4700 you could also consider a CF GPS which will fit into the CF slot in the top of the ipaq, I use a Holux CF GR-271 with my 4700 as it seems to use less power than having the Bluetooth enabled (handy when out for a long walk) - Mike

Look at the top of your 4700 and just above the SD card slot is the CF card slot which is considerably larger, if you have never used it there should be a blank in the opening - Mike

Hello everyone here on this forum,
I have a Tracker GPS using anywhere map software from Control Vision Inc. which runs perfectly on my i PAC 4700.However, when I attempt to use the same GPS on POCKET-STREETS, the application is able to connect to the GPS and track position normally for a few minutes, but then the application inevitably locks up. Control Vision assures me that the mean protocol is what POCKETSREETS is expecting.
Has anyone any experience with this type of problem, or a possible solution?
