advice on puchasing p pc

I am looking to buy a hp 2210,
I would like to connect to the internet whilst abroad and check emails, what would I need to purchase, to enable me to do this.
Also, I am interested in GPS one that we speak out instructions, and that will give the option to purchase maps etc for USA & Europe.and suggestions?
