Unhappy HELP Total shut down with 2210

Hi, I have a ipaq 2210 and bought it in August. For the first time ever I decided to download a programme from Handango. It was "Healthfitcounter". I followed all the instructions and loaded it onto the PDA. As the programme was opening it locked. I shuted the machine off and on again. Nothing. So I took out the memory card and reset it. It is now stuck on the reset blue and white screen and I can't go anything with it.

Any ideas? It the machine under warrenty or guarantee. What can I do?

Does the battery come out? If so remove it for a couple of hours before restarting the PDA. This may revert it back to its factory state.

Sorry I cannot be more help but I am new to ppc as I am in the process of moving from a palm pda

thanks for that I've just been in the HP website and have done one of those interactive chats with a hp person, they've show me how to do a hard reset which I have done. It seemed to work the only problem is I can't get TomTom to reinstall it's coming up with "unknown architect" messages which I think is exactly the problem I had when I bought TomTom in August. Think I only installed it in the end by a fluke. I best go back to the message board from then to see what people said.

thanks for your help. I seem to spenp most of my time sorting out these mess ups! I sometimes hate computers!!

Glad you sorted the first part of your problem. Pulling the battery out is a cruder version of the hard reset, which I do not know how to do on a HP.

I know what you mean about sorting problems. I have a policy of if it aint broke, fiddle til I find a way of breaking it

Good luck with Tomtom
