Default Ipaq Pocket PC H5550

Hi there,

Wonder if anyone can help me......

I have recently won the above in an auction where I work for a bus company in the North West. It was lost property, unclaimed after 3 months and I bid and won it for a cost of £5.00.

Basically all I have is the pocket pc with an extra battery add on thing and thats it. I've got a cheap power supply on order to see if the thing will work, however it has the bio-sync recognition thumb print stuff on it.

What I want to do if possible is wipe and do a fresh install. I have no desire too look at the data/pin no's etc that belonged to whom so ever was the previous owner. I just want to get it up and running.

My question is thus.....:

How can I do this, presumably I need the pocket PC install disc (which I don't have - so where can I get it?)

I'm sure I can download the drivers somewhere.... any ideas?

Will the bio-sync stop me doing anything.

and..... finally

Have I just paid 5 quid for a rather attractive but non-functional paperweight????!!

Any advice greatfully recieved.

Rich W

type the password in wrong about 20 times and it will wipe all data from the PDA.
You need outlook not outlook express to sync your emails, contacts etc.
You need to download activesync 3.8 from microsoft.com

i will buy it for £5
