Screen taps not working

Hi,
I am having trouble with my Ipaq 2210, recently the task screen would pop up on it's own and then I could not tap on the screen to open any programs. I would do a soft reset and all would work for a while, and then it would happen again.

The navigation and shortcut buttons all work fine and I can use some of the applications on my PDA using these options.

Now I cannot use the screen taps at all, and soft reset does not work either, I am trying to avoid a hard reset so that I do not have to set up all my settings again.

My first post - so I hope you may be able to help me.

I'm afraid it sounds like you will need to hard reset.

Just did a hard reset, and when the screen reloads to "Tap on screen to set up your poket PC" still nothing happens when I tap the screen.

Sounds like it's faulty then. If it's still in warranty contact HP on 0870 842 2339 and select options 1, 3 and then 6.

Thanks for that, I called and they will collect it from me next week for repair.

That's good, I guess they thought the touchscreen was faulty then?
