Lightbulb HELP!-H2210 + Rikaline 6030 Always losing Bluetooth Connection

I'm using an ipaq h2210, Rikaline 6030 Bluetooth Receiver and Tomtom 3.03.
At the beginning of the journey, everything works fine. I have a gps Signal and i can connecto to the bluetooth receiver. But after 10-15 mins, the bluetooth connection between my receiver and ipaq dies down. So i have to stop, connect them again. And after several minutes, the connection dies down again. I checked the bluetooth signal between my receiver and pda, and it's maximum is only 50%-60%. Is this normal? HAs anyone encountered the same problem before? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,

Fred Relenas

Welcome to our forums.
Make sure you have the latest ROM on your iPAQ. You can check the current version by pressing the reset button and observing the lower right-hand corner of the iPAQ screen. You can get the latest from HPs website.

There are also newer versions of both TT3 and TT3 Bluetooth Driver both at version 3.07

Both the H2210 and rikaline 6030 has sufficient battery power.

When i restart the H2210, it says there, 1.11, i understand this is newer than the one on HP's website, i don't how this happened but when i purchased it, that's the rom that was installed in the pda. I already updated the BT driver and upgraded to tomtom 3.07, but the problem persists.

Another thing that i notice is when i connect the H2210 and rikaline 6030 and check the status of the BT connection, it barely get past the 'just right' mark. Is this normal or does this mean that one or both unit is defective? And when i try to move a few feet, the connection signal drops dramatically. I don't have any other pda to compare notes with so i'm not sure is if this is normal.

Thanks. Sorry if i responded only now, i went on holiday.

If you lose the commection when they are only a few fett apart then one of them may have issues. Contact your supplier.
