Default Device Code for iPAQ hx2110

I bought a new hx2110 two days ago. I installed TomTom Navigator 3 onto it and I was directed to activate TomTom. During the activation process I was asked for the device code for my iPAQ which I can't find. I know where the serial number and the product code is but I cannot find the device code anywhere. TomTom say the code appears when I activate a map but it doesn't unless I'm doing something wrong. On my old 5550 I found the code purely by accident but no idea how I did it so I am unable to do the same thing again on this one. Can anyone help me?

What happens when you start TomTom on your iPAQ? It shold get so far then display your code, if it's just going straight into the program then it's already regged.

It does indeed go straight to the programme. For some reason I don't understand it asks for activation although it was already activated after installing on my old handheld. TomTom is not working as it should and looking on their website it looked like activation was the reason but I wasn't totally convinced. Obviously I need to find another reason. I have a bluetooth link between the handheld and the GPS receiver, the GPS icon appears at the bottom of the screen but I am not getting a satellite signal therefore no 3D map or verbal instructions. Never had a problem on my 5550.

Have you installed the UPDATE CD? Confirm ths by going into GPS STATUS and on the GPS tab there is a version number in the lower right. v3.03 means you need to install the update...v3.07 means it's up to date.

I installed 303 yesterday and it didn't make a blind bit of difference. I uninstalled and reinstalled TT3 this morning with the same effect but I can always try 303 again and then 307

V3.03 will not work, you need to update it to v3.07 as the 2110 has Windows Mobile 2003 SE.

Well, we have progress. I installed 307 and the message has gone from GPS Disabled to GPS position unrealiable.

Now all you need to do is configure the receiver in GPS STATUS or if you have done that already then just go out side with it and wait for a fix.
