Smile Reset reset reset

Hiya,
Ive got an Ipaq 4350, about a year old, and over time it has taken to 'hanging' more and more, resulting in frequent soft resets, at least couple times per day. I also had to do a hard reset recently. Hence lately I have had to, on top of backups, copy both internal and sd card to pc to avoid re-installation of programs. Sd card (both sandisk 128 and viking 256) frequently will 'lose' programs, sometimes they will come back after taking the card out and re-inserting, but mostly i have to format the card on pc and copy back from pc. Does anyone know if there are any particular programs that can create this situation or is it just a function of the 4350 itself (i have noticed its no longer produced) - or does this happen to all/most/many of the Ipaq's around or other manufacturer's machines ? I was so spoiled with my old trusted Psion 5mx which only needed a reset once in a blue moon ....
Thanks for helping.
Svein
ps - a battery lift of about 2 hours - is this normal for this machine ?

Welcome to our forums.
Is you iPAQ up to date with ROMs, firmware and drivers? Check HPs SUPORT & DRIVERS section of their website for the available updates for your iPAQ. I certainly don't think it's normal to be losing files from your SD cards. The battery life is dependant on what's running on your iPAQ, like BT/Wifi etc and also if you have reminders set.

Charlie and all
Have downloaded the update for the ipaq 4350 and it obviously cleared a battery drainer in rom, (and other sorts of bugs) - initially started at 6 hours batt, now more believeable about 4 hours and a bit more, with all progs back on. But heck what a job to reload - even if sd card progs there, the links had gone and only way to put on the prog bar or prog screen etc is to reload. plus data, plus plus. i think i would have thought twice about upgrading rom if the machine hadnt really been 'knackered' as it was. but now works (almost) beautifully. Still have to take the Kingston SD card out occasionally as the machine does not always read whats on it, turns out ok on re-insertion. thanks again Charlie.
