Unhappy align screen

Hi all, I have a HP 5550. 10 months old

Why is it that i have to keep aligning the screen? also when i do I am often trying to align for 10 minutes or more.

Sometime the alignment is mile out (well ok 10mm)

Do I need my ipaq serviced ?

are you using the stylus pen or your finger? If you are using the stylus pen and being as accurate as possible then i would say there could be a screen fault. If you try and it is still the same, backup your PDA and do a hard reset on the unit to restore to factory defaults (HP will ask you to do this anyway).

Hi Steven,

Initially i did soft resets but the accuracy was still a mile out. I have also done the hard reset and still only getting the alignment screen. I have taped accuratly with the stylus but the alignment screen still stays on. I would estimate I have tapped it 100 times !!

Today I have called you guys and left a message to decide on what to do next as the unit is still under warranty.

Regards

Ian
