Default h2210:file explorer/1 GB SD card problems

i'm still a novice to the world of iPAQ's....…so please treat me gently!
file explorer is rarely able to open the folders on my 1 GB "Integral" SD card. at the moment, there are only 3 MB of video clips on it. when there was 500 odd MB on it, it worked better!
file explorer either “locks” or the "clock" symbol appears requiring constant soft resets.
i understand that there is a "rom update" (i have rom revision 1.10.07). is this something merely to "try" or is it a "fix"?
i note that there is an "SDIO driver update" (version 1). what are the implications of using this instead of the "rom update", as my iPAQ works fine apart from the "file explorer/1 GB SD card” issue.

p.s:i’ve just bought Makayama’s DVD to PC, so I’m chomping at the bit to solve this problem!

thanks.

Welcome to our forums.
You appear to have the latest ROM on your iPAQ already. The SDIO update is really only intended for users who have experienced problems when using SD devices such as SDIO Wifi cards etc. You could try it but I'm not convinced it will help.

I would be inclined to suspect problems withthe card. Do you have another you can try? Do you have a card reader on your PC and if so do you have issues viewing/accessing the card on that?
