Default HP4700 Switching on for no reason

Hi all,

Im new to this forum but have a problem i have been fighing with for weeks and am wondering if there is anyone around that may be able to shed some light

For no apparent reason my 4700 has recently decided to switch itself on (from standby) To make matters worse it sometimes switches itself on, locks up and then sits there and drains the battery until it has no power no remain on so switches back off, then i of course i come to it and it wont switch on at all untill i charge the thing.

The only way of protecting against this i have found is to use the lock switch at the bottom of the unit which prevents the issue, but of course the unit then has to go through soft boot each time i want to use it.

is there any way of establishing what software if any is bringing the unit out of sleep mode? or am i looking down the barrel of a hard reset and rebuild here?

Any help appreciated?

It could be the calendar that is brining it up, mine was doing the same thing until I found the setting to turn that feature off
