HP 2790 IPAQ activesync problems

Hi everyone!!!
I am at my wits end

I have bought an IPAQ 2790 and installed activesync 4.1. although it shows connected it just whirs away without syncing. I am running windows XP home and also Kaspersky v.6. I have tried exiting both Anti-virus and anti-hacker programs and although it allows initial sync then the computer immediately shuts down. Please help!!!

Which operating software do you have. If its pocket pc 2003 or earlier then you should not be using a later version of activesync 3.8

Hi mike,
The OS is windows 5.0 activesync 4.1 is correct

Hi maz

Just a quick thought. you say you just bought the 2790. did you have another PDA before that? The reason I ask is because if you did, the name used by activesynch whilst connecting might still be the old PDA. If its your first one then make sure that the name used by activesynch and the 2790 is the same otherwise it won't connect.

I just saw the date on your last post. As you can see from my post I'm rather new here I got carried away and realise that from the date you have obviously solved the problem.
