HP Jornada 928 - not switching on!

Hi there, I am new to this so please bear with me. I have just purchased a Jornada 928 PDA and when I first rec'd it, it turned on ok and was displaying the menus etc and asking for a SIM to be inserted. The next time I have tried to switch on to insert a SIM, the unit is not switching on but I notice that the small screen at the top of the unit (for the phone ID etc.) is flashing a blue colour but the unit will not do anything else. The only charger I have is a USB charger but it was working ok and was holding charge before it went AWOL.Can anybody advise. Thanks.

Try performing a soft reser, and ensuring the battery lock is engaged.

Hi, by soft reser do you mean reset?. I have tried that on the back of the unit (pushing the inset red button) and tried taking the battery on and off but no joy. Anyone else got any ideas?
