What do you mean by "option"? Has the button stopped being operational?

I meant to add...is it possible..(assuming that it has malfunctioned)...to assign one of the buttons to a soft reset option ? I downloaded Spb Pocket Plus, and it works OK using their program, but my concern is when the PDA totally freezes I wouldn't be able to get into Pocket Plus.

You can't reasign the hardware function of the reset button through the HP software on the PDA. Sounds like it'll need repaired.
