Synchronisation with Outlook

Recently bought an iPAQ afer constantly being told how good they are when out of the office for keeping records up to date etc. and then syncing with Outlook when back in office.

However, I find there is one basic flaw in this and it prevents me from using it as much as I would have liked. I personally see clients and make a note of their requirements in the contacts database notes section. But, if the client later rings the office rather than myself and they make a note in the same place in Outlook on the PC we have a problem on synchronisation. There are only two options. Overwrite the PDA or overwrite the PC. In either case vital details might be lost.

Any ideas out there on how to get round this without a lot of fiddling around?
