bluetooth connection

Please can someone help. I have an Ipaq2210 and a holux gpslim236 and upgraded my tomtom 3 to 5. due to a problem with the pda I have had to reinstall all my software. I have paired the holux with my pda and when I check Blue tooth manager I can make a connection with a good signal. However when I try to use tom tom to calculate a journey tom tom cannot find the signal. Any Ideas would be really appreciated as I am tearing my hair our!!!!!
