Question ipaq rz1710 and gps problems

Bought rz1710 navigator package last year (had kirrio gps receiver in package). The via michelin software was ok, but is getting on a bit. I was bought the tomtom navigator 5 software but it doesn't want to work with my receiver. Any ideas? novice at all this so please be gentle

Which device are you trying to use? Normally you use wired or other and select the correct port.

Please try to include as much info as possible, and any error messages.

using ipaq 1710 and tt5, have chosen other nmea wired receiver as suggested, and tried all of the options listed but no joy. only message is that no gps signal is being received, but receiver is showing that there is.

I had this problem also, after seeking advice I did manage to get it working on the following settings.

Other NMEA device
Baud Rate 19200
Com Port 1

Hope it works for you!

Make sure you are running the gps utility from via michelin then the pda can see the kirrio craddle. Settings as above.
