Default Help needed please.

Hello, I am hoping someone can help a complete novice. I have a HP iPAQ 2210 PDA and have just installed TOMTOM on to it. I then purchased this GPS receiver http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...B:EOIBSA:UK:11 The problem is it keeps looking for a signal and never finds anything. I contacting the fella I bought it off and he asked me about NMEA cable, baud rate 4800, Serial Cable on COM1 which means nothing to me.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? It would be really appreciated.

Connect your GPS, and open TomTom on your device.

Click the screen>change prefs, and find the option for GPS settings. Click this, then configure. Select "Other NMEA", Com port 1, and set the baud as instructed.

You will then simply need to wait for a GPS lock, and off you go.
