Default my rz1710 is dead

Hi All,

My rz1710 has died!

I've had it for 16 months, and on occasions have had to reset it.
Yesterday, I reset it, but it has not got past the hp IPAQ splash screen.
The progress bar doesn't move, the screen stays blank, and nothing happens.

Since I've had it, I've been sync-ing with Outlook successfully. I've never upgraded any firmware. The splash screen displays 1.00.05 ENG in red at the bottom.

I've tried connecting it to my PC, but unsurprisingly, the PC doesn't detect any mobile device.

Does anyone have any ideas?
I'm about to go to a diy shop to purchase a tool to open the back......

Welcome to our forums.
Connec it directly to the mains charger then press and release the reset button. If that doesn't help then keep it connected to the mains and press and hold the power button then press and release the reset button.

If that doesnt fix it then some serious is wrong.

BTW opening it won't provide any answers aI'm afraid.
