Question wrong image

OK, I work with iPAQ 2110 and 2190 models (I'm supposed to be network support, and these things are new to me). Yesterday I accidentally imaged a 2190 with a 2110 image. Now it will not boot. I tried a hard reset with no luck. I tried leaving the battery out all night so it would die with no luck. I'm not sure what else to do with it. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanx

Try flashing with the correct ROM. Otherwise, it's off to HP repair it goes.

EDIT: what does the device actually do? What screens do you get? If it wont power on at all, try a soft reset.

It will power on. It runs through the HP splash screen and when the progress bar reaches the end everything stops. The problem I have is that I don't have cloning software for the 2190, and I have not had to flash the ROM or do much of anything else manually yet. So how do you flash the ROM?
Thank you for the help.
Jeremy

Get the correct ROM from the HP website in the support section and follow the instructions on the download page and in the installer.

I tried to reload the BIOS, but since the boot process is not complete there is not an active sync connection. Is there a way to mechanically flash the BIOS? Maybe a jumper setting on the circuit board?

No there is no jumpers.
I think you'll need to call the HP support centre. 0870 842 2339 options 1, 3 and then 6.

I got this response in another forum.

http://mobilitytoday.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7567

It seems to work right up until the actual instal and it tells me that the AC power is not connected. I tested another 2190 on the cradle and made sure the USB charging was off, and the charge light was flashing. Any ideas why it would not recognize the power?

Thank you,
Jeremy

Do you get the charge indication if the device is off?

Are you using USB charging only, or is the mains adaptor plugged into the cradle? If not, you need to do this.

I just spoke with HP. They informed me that there is a hard reset and a clean reset (I think that is what he was saying. His accent was really thickunderstand). I had tried to hard reset ( holding the power, calendar, and itask buttons and pressing reset). But the clean reset you have to hold the power, calendar, and messaging buttons and press reset. Once I did this it rebooted fine.
