Memory problem

Hi folks,
I was given an old HP Ipaq 2200 by a mate and I'm having a problem with the memory side of things...
How do you free up memory, and before someone says close all running programs down.. I have done this but still seem to get the odd memory message or it seems to run a bit on the slow side...

Any advice welcome..

You could remove some programs you dont use.

Start - settings - system tab

Remove programs.

Doing a soft reset regularly will clear the memory.
