Default Please recommend an iPAQ for sat navigation?

Hi

I want to upgrade my 2210 to another HP PDA for use as a phone & satellite navigation.

I find the speaker volume on the 2210 is too weedy and the battery life is rubbish. Oh and it crashes if I run Memeory Map. But it works fine with my CoPilot (except I can't hear the turn-by-turn instructions!).

I've been looking at reviews for the hw6900 series but they are average at best. The screen resolution gets a battering, as does the satellite navigation and keyboard.

However, I like the fact that this model is a phone, pda and sat-nav.

Is there a stonking HP model you would recommend? Or does anyone out there disagree with the poor reviews on the 6900 series?

I like HP but I'm open to suggestions if there is another model that out-performs it.

We've never had any problems with the ipaq 69xx series. Obviously its going to have a smaller screen to fit the keyboard, but we have no copmlaints about resolution.

You might wasnt to look at the HTC range as well as they have just brought out the P3300

Its a slower processor but its a slimmer unit more like normal phone size than pda. There is no keyboard either if your not keen on the 69 series keyboard.

Hi Martin

Thanks for the reassurance. I really like the look of the 6900 series. How does the speaker volume compare to the 2210? That's my other big concern.

Far louder. The older ipaqs are notorious for having quiet speakers but they changed that all the newer models. Give me a call when you want to order.
