email setting up

I got my ipaq pda from Total at Christmas. Whilst I don't want to receive all my emails on the pda, I would like to be able to write the odd email on it and then connect to the usb on my laptop .

So I set up another email address with my isp. I use Thunderbird as my main email tool. I'm thinking that if I use Outlook for the new email account that I could then synchronise with the pda. I've tried to do this, I am able to send emails from the new address alright and receive. I can access the internet from the pda via the usb too, but I can't seem to get the pda to send and receive. I don't know what to put in the Domain box either.

Also when I do a send and receive on outlook it is collecting my main emails and I only want it to get the pda email account, how do I make it to this.

I hope someone can advise me please.

Update, I've managed to get it to work now, I just had a tick in a wrong box, the one with ssl settings. I just need to work out now how to stop Outlook collecting my main email post.
