Default HP 6515 and Tomtom nav 6

Hi

Last chance here !! - can anyone help me resolve a problem with my Ipaq 6515 - I installed Nav 6 on a sd (2gb) using tomtom home in November last year!!! since that time I've had nothing but problems when running the GPS software -basically the software display freezes after between 30-60 mins however it stills runs in the back ground as the voice instructions still appear to be accurate - Ive noticed that before the display freeses up the start menu appears and then the GPS navigaion heading and windows working timer appears after that the only way to get out of the screen i s to close the unit down start it again - stop gps navigation in the running programs menu and then re-start Tomtom.

Ive tried both HP and Tomtom however neither one of them can resolve the problem (blaming each other!!) so can any one help or does anyone have a similar problem

many thanks

ADrienne

Does it make any difference if you do a soft reset before you start tomtom?

Hi martin

tried that a while ago - same prob continues - normally occurs after about 60-80 miles or 45-60 mins it looks like the start /gps navigation wants to start but then the whole screen freezes up

any thoughts?

Not sure you might want to try uninstalling any programs on the pda that dont get used as it could be a memory issue.

There might also be a rom update for teh PDA if you havent already updated it from the HP website. If you run that you will probably have to reinstall everything but that should clear everything out though. If the problems persist after that then the pda is faulty.
