Default HP IpaQ 6340 Wont recognise USB

Hi all, I have an HP Ipaq 6340 which I ordinarily connect to my pc via USB and ActiveSync 4.5. I recently encountered an error where it says that it does not recognise the usb device. It malfunctions or something.

I re-installed my windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2) and it said that it is looking for an HP USB driver which I have desperately tried looking for on the web. Tons of driver sites leading to porn and popups galore.

My PDA does charge when I connect it to the USB so I know that it is receiving power via the cable.

Please can anyone help? Regards Mike Paine

Any HP drivers will be on HP's support site.

The unit could be faulty though you could try calling the support number. 08708422339
