Question HP and Tom Tom woes

Hi guys, my wife has an HP2210 with Tom Tom navigator 5 installed, which she uses for work.
She is hopeless at reading maps and is totally dependant on the satnav.
The problem I have is that if she doesn't plug it in properly or it gets switched on in her bag, the battery goes flat. After a hard reset the Tom Tom application has gone and she is unable to use it until a reload it.
Is there anyway of stopping the application from being deleted if the main battery goes flat.

With that version of windows if the battery goes flat it resets sto factory settings.

You need to ensure it stays charged.

Thanks for the quick response Martin. It's a shame that it isn't woman proof.
I take it that the all in one TomTom units that are on the market now don't suffer from this problem.

One way round it.

Locate the following files engf, engm, gps, PIMAddIn, ttn and wzd.

Look on your CD's and existing card.

Put a new folder on the SD Card and name it New Folder.

Copy the above files into the New Folder.

Right click on each files, choose Properties and tick Read Only.
(This must be done or after one use they will disappear).

Should the battery go flat, connect to mains or car charger.

Go to File Explorer and select SD Card - New Folder.

Tap on each of the files, one at a time, and they will re-install TT.
