Default How to install Tomtom6 onto an iPAQ 3979

To have access to the latest Tomtom maps for my iPAQ 3970, I had to buy Tomtom navigator version 6 unless my version 5 runs properly.

However, the tomtom Home platform delivered on the version 6 DVD, refuses to communicate with my iPAQ 3970, it seems to be a too oldfashioned PDA type.

On the other hand, I have learnt in this forum that version 6 will generally run on a 3970.
Does anybody know how to transfer Version 6 of the tomtom navigator onto an iPAQ 3970?

Thanks for help!

Use the DVD to create an install mem card, then run from the mem card.

hallo getsurfers:

your way is the only one that might be practicable.

But I did not find a direct way to create from the DVD a Tomtom bootstrap file sited on an SD memory card , nor did I find just an executable file on my 2 GB memory card filled directly with a reduced DVD content.

So, my attempts had no success so far.
