Its the same as the O2 XDA2i and the T-Mobile PDA2k, they've been out for quite a while now so IMate are a bit late to market.

Its not a bad device (I used to have the O2 version) but I think its a bit cumbersome.

Would have thought compatibility with TomTom5 no issue - but check the specs required.

Andy

IMATE (HPC) make all O2, PDA2K, JAM
Processor is faster on PDA2, no built in keyboard but and has WiFi, other do not
mobile screens are too small for GPS use in car, and JAM too small for PDA.
comprimise i suppose on screen size, portability and function. pocket size phone and PDA

Would agree with the processor speed point. WiFi is available on the XDA2i (pretty sure) and if not then a WiFi SD does the trick.

Keyboard I agree with, but not an issue to me as mine has t9 input.

Don't agree with you on the rest - i have the Jam (on T-Mobile) and its great as a PDA (covers all i need), good as a phone (has bluetooth connectivity so headsets work great) and I've got CoPilot navigation on there which is fine when I'm in the car (have an air vent mount so vision no issue and as its been designed for use on PDA's the directions fit the screen no issue. My only complaint would be the loudness of the instructions).

I got it primarily for the size as I used to work for O2 and didn't like the rest due to the inability of fitting comfortably in my back pocket.

Personal choice is a great leveler.
