Default New member: Just bought a jam and got a couple of q's

Evening all
I ve just bought an i-mate jam from total PDA, Should be coming Friday.
First off, Does anyone know what courior total use? Just so i know what time to be in etc.

Questions about the PDA then

Does it come with a leather case in the box? Ive looked at the MDA compact case and it looks like what i need but i cant find anywhere that says its included with the Jam though???

I need a screen protector as i dont want to scratch the screen at all!
Ive looked around and there are a couple out there. Ones that stick on and ones that clip under the edge of the screen, Also different textures!?!

I have a copy of Tom Tom. Can i use the (GPS or GPRS??) built in the device to use the Tom Tom or will my operator charge me for that? How do i go about it for getting online for free? Do i need an external unit?

Does anyone suggest any software that i might need on it? Ive bought a 1G card for it so have a bit of space to spaire
Is there a place that lists some software for it?

Ok i think thats it.

Thanks alot
Mat

Welcome to our forums.
We use Initial Citylink for our deliveries unless you have requested Royal Mail.

It comes with a leatherette case that has a belt clip attached.

I prefer the stick on kind of protectors.

The JAM doesnt have a built in GPS for TomTom. GPRS is for surfing the web and to my knowledge you can't do it for free.

Software for it depends on what you intend to do with the PDA.

Ok thanks Charlie.

I was expecting my PDA today but apperently there was a stock check so it dident go out!
Ive moved it for a saturday delivery but i dont hold out much hope of it coming then either.
I got told that after being on hold 10 mins! And you cant get through on option 2, It just goes into voice-mail.
Expect a better service really after spending that much with them!

Mat

You could buy a SD wifi card or go for the newer K-jam or the qtek version
