You can copy ringtones to your windows/rings folder on your pda. They have to be either wave or midi files for the handset to recognise them. You can select tones for rings or messages using phone settings.
Ive got a jam myself and I sometimes get that warning even though memory isnt low on my system.
Make sure you dont have too many programs running in the background.
press start - settings - sytem tab - memory - running programs tab
Get used to using this to close down programs and dont let your text and pictures messages build up too much as they can eat up memory as well.

Can anyone please tell me how to put ringtones onto my Imate? I have been told it is possible to put a song as a ring tone but can't find out how to do it. Is it also possible to do the same to make the message received tone a personalised one too?
Whilst I'm on I keep getting an error message telling me that memory for contacts is critically low - how can I correct this?
