MDA Compact PC Connection Probs

Hi there. Just got a second hand, battered old MDA Compact adn seems to be working fine except my PC will not recognise it when using the USB cable.

Absolutely nothing happens, which I would expect when pluggin in any device. I have followed all the instructions for when connecting to a PC, and I fall down when it comes to the PC actually thinking there's something there.

I bought if from ebay, so just want to ake sure I've tried everything before I send it back to the guy.

Any ideas?
