A Few Questions on MDA Compact 2

Hi guys i am new to the forum and I have 2 questions i hope some on can help me with

1: I have a T-Mobile MDA Compact 2 that has customised firmware by my employer, some application automatically install when its first turned on after a reset , I have just bought a second one as a spare, is there a way of cloning the firmware from the first one to the new spare?

2: is there a way of using the MDA as a Modem on my pc? We have web and talk but wool prefer to get internet via my laptop?

If your employer has customized the firmware on the orignal they should be able to load it on the spare you bought.

The handset should come with modem drivers on disk to load on your laptop as you can use it as modem.

Thanks for the reply, I have got the software issue sorted, I am still having problems connecting it to my laptop, I have followed the instructions here

on how to use it as a modem but I cant select an access point on the phone, it only has a choice of none? I cant select any others, the web works fine on the phone, I can access it via gprs no problem.


Any ideas?
