Navman icn530 Sound

I have had my Navman for about a year now (bought second hand) and yesterday when I set off on a journey I got no sound from the device. The display was working ok though.

I went on to Preferences, then More Preferences, then Hardware, then Volume and moved the indicator from half way to maximum and touched Test but I got no sound.

Anyone any ideas please?
