I haven't tried this myself yet, but I was considering using my HP photo smart printer as it has slots for memory cards (so that you can print directly from the card). I thought I may be able to put memory card into printer, then browse the card directly from PC via the printer's USB connection. I know I can browse my camera's Sony memory stick and read from/write to the card using the Windows explorer, so logically I ought to be able to do the same with an SD card. This all presumes that the filesystem used by Navman can be mounted by Windows. Of course this is all academic if you don't have a printer with memory card adapters, but you can buy USB memory card readers for about £20. Another option would be to put the card into a suitable camera and browse the camera from Windows....? again, presuming you have such a camera. Final thought - have you tried upgrading to SmartST 2005? Best of.... etc,
- Tim

hmmm, I'm afraid I'm out of "final thoughts" now! I assumed you were storing data onto the card as I have a 610, which doesn't have internal disc/memory. Have Navman been any help?

If I understand this correctly, you can see the files on the device from Windows, but the device itself can't? Originally you said that you were having problems retrieving data from the device. Please don't go to PC World!!!
