Default Navman Speed Camera Problem With Files

NAVMAN ICN 530. Just purchased and uploaded speed cam files exactly as per instructions using the supplied software.

When using either route demonstration mode or simply zooming into the MAP function, the icons for the speed cams cannot be seen. Neither do the details appear in the 'mypoi' section.

However, when using explorer via a pc, I can see the files that have been placed on the navman in the ROOT directory of the 'mobile device' whereas the other POI files are contained with the location of myflashdrive/navman/poi directory. The files also show when viewing the POI files via the SMART software.

Does anyone know if custom POI files do not show as icons unless you are actually on a journey - any advice?

Many thanks

Hi there,
I also bought and iCN 530 recently and I also have some problems with my POI files.
I cannot load them onto my flash drive, they will only load on the device itself, how did you load them ?
Do you know what the maximum size SDCard is ?
Do you knwo is you can remove the voice sound files that you don't use, like italian, german, french and so on ?
Do you know a good forum with a lot of active iCN users ?

I send a couiple of emails to NavMan and I just received and automatic reply and never heard from them again, terrible!!!!!

Cheers
Ron

I have solved the problem. The files are uploaded to the root directory of the navman which you see when using explorer. There was also no MYPOI directory which I had to create myself. Once you have located your uploaded files on the navman, which are a .map, .bm and .ini for each custom POI move them to MYFLASHDRIVE/NAVMAN/LIGHTNING/NAVMAN/MYPOI and hey presto, they are recognised once you unplug the USB cable. Let me know how you get on.

Regards
