Default Navman 510 auto pilot

Hello to all from a newbie,

I have just got my Navman 510 after waiting a few days for it to finally find a satalite I tried using it for the first time.

After putting in my destination and hitting the go button it started giving me directions but unfortunatly I was still pulling out the drive by the time it was half a mile down the road, so I started it again and off it raced giving me directions whilst I'm sitting in traffic

Is this correct should it just assume my location and speed and expect me to not come across traffic.

It also directed me to use the motorway to get to my destination but I ignored it and took an A road instead but it just carried on as if I was on the motorway and not the A road.

Have I done something wrong
Can anyone please help

Thanks
Lee

if you go into the preferences, you will find that the route demonstration is enabled. if you disable the route demonstration, it wont go off ahead of you and it will work nomally
