icn 510 no map data help

hi i have an icn 510 v3 which i lent to my technically retarded father who plugged it into his pc with smartst 2005 and now all my maps are in red and it says no map data, he told me that when he plugged it in it did some kind of update/upgrade but he is not sure what it was working fine before he did this, does anyone have any ideas how to rectify this as i suspect it has something to do with it being smartst v3 and him upgrading to smartst 2005, is there anyway to remove the upgrade and revert to v3
