Get a good quality high speed card (keep it at 2GB or lower), copy the original card to a folder on your PC, then copy the contents of the folder on the PC back to the new card - Mike

I would right click on the PC desk top and create a new folder, name it TT Backup.

Next connect your device to the PC, if TT Home starts up on the PC shut it down as its not needed, use Windows Explorer to view the contents of the computer and one of the drives will be your TomTom (it should be labeled up as such) - or if you are using a card reader locate the drive letter associated with it.

Copy all the files and folders from the card to the TT Backup folder on your PC's desk top.

Next insert the new card to the card reader/ TomTom and copy ALL the CONTENTS of the TT Backup folder from the PC to the new memory card.

Pop the card in the device and fire it up - if the card has a fast enough read/ write speed the device will boot and work normally.

The data on the card isn't locked to the SD Card ID but it is covered by copywrite, this doesn't affect your options to copy the data to a larger card though - Mike

Have you managed to copy the files from the old card to the PC and just cannot get the files to copy to the new card? If so there is a small plastic slider on the side of the card which acts as an access lock, make sure this is slid towards the gold contacts end of the card - Mike
