Default Mio - carrying spare batteries

Hi
I own and use a P350 which i think is excellent BUT like other PDA's it's heavy on the battery. I have changed the battery to a higher capacity but it hasn't made any noticable difference!!

I thought Mitac brought out a model that allowed the user to carry spare batteries and change them in the field. Does anyone know if this is the case?

Many thanks
Derek

Not sure if you can get one but I have a charger for my 168 which uses 4 AA batteries. Works fine and keeps it charged.

Many thanks for your reply Len
I have thought about these charger things but I can't find out how they work !!
Do they take the same time to charge the PDA as it would from mains power?

Are you able to operate your PDA while it is charging?

I'm thinking it might be cumbersome to carry both the PDA and the connected charger whilst out walking..... what's your thoughts?

Thanks again
Derek

They charge the unit the same as a mains charger and can be used fine while charging. Depending on the socket on your MIO, you may be able to extend the lead and put the charger in your pocket? I've used mine on long flights (8+hours) as an MP3 player and one set of AA batteries seem to last forever.

Just had a quick look on Ebay where I got mine but there doesn't appear to be one listed for the P350 only the P360? Maybe they use the same charge socket?

Thanks for the info ......
I have found Morpeth Mobiles seel them for around £9 .... at that price I will give it a go. As you mentioned .... i will try to find a long enough lead to keep the extender in my bag whilst still being able to use the PDA.
Thanks for you help Len
