Default TomTom2 Bundle with Mitac Mio 338

Hi peeps, new user here....

Just been looking on the main site at the TomTom2 Wired bundle with the Mitac Mio 338 pocketPC, has anyone got this or does anyone know if this pocketPC is any good?

Really want to get one after seeing my mates at the weekend and was really impressed, I've already got a Garmin GPS II unit but with the pocketPC option makes it far more attractive, plus the Garmin doesn't have street maps etc.

Any thoughts would be gratefully received

The PPC systems are great, have your sat nav software, play your mp3's, movies, access the web, read important emails, keep all your important contacts and calander details. There are many different systems that you could get, cabled, wired, Bluetooth or sleeve based systems. If you give me details on exactly what you want your PDA to do, I will give you my recommendations.

I use a Viewsonic V37 with TT2Nav wired, works a treat once you get it going... The Mitac, Viewsonic and Packard Bell PDAs are apparently the same basic kit, different casing and options loaded....

Also have mine talking through the head unit on the car together with the phone kit so dont have to worry about tinny little speaker.... it even mutes the CD/Radio when it talks

Thanks for the reply guys.

Stevie, basically I just wanted it to do Sat Nav after seeing my mates, glutton for toys but have now changed my mind [see comment below]

Irving - nice install, I'll get some pics up of my setup when completed.

I made a decision to get an HP iPAQ 2210, Royaltek GPS mouse and car cradle last night, the reason why I got the iPAQ was because of the CF slot and I've already got two 256mb CF cards at home which I can use and would save me money having to buy SD cards.

I've also been using an iPAQ here at work and have been mightily impressed with it, I'm just testing it at the moment for a work application but keep taking it home each night and playing around with it

I'll keep you posted and will probably be back for questions on the setup soon

Thanks again guys.
