Default Mio 168 and GPS

Really sorry to bring this up again, but I have read alot of the posts here and I'm still at a loss.

I have a similar problem to this thread :

http://www.totalpda.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=3490 (Mitac 168 + TomTom Navigator 5)

I have just bought the Mio 168 without bundled software, installed TT5 myself and the maps. It all works but still cant find the GPS.

Stevie suggested this :

hmm select other cabled NMEA baudrate 4800 and see if you get serial cable on SP2

which worked for the person who made the post, but it doesnt for me Its just sitting there saying 'no valid GPS signal'.

Do i need to turn on GPS somewhere on the pocket PC itself? Or do I just have a dud one

Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

EDIT : Please ignore I now have it working. I went outside. See I'm a total n00b. Sorry to have wasted everyones time. Happy GPS'ing!

Alan.

Go outside :lol

For anyone else reading. It can take up to 45 minutes to get a sat lock the first time you set it up.
