Default Mitac 168 nav upgrade to TTN5 or Smartst 3

Hello all

Can anyone advise on the best upgrade for my Mio 168 nav software, out of TTN5 or smartst3. I currently run Smartst2 and find it a little lacking.

BR Rich

Hello Steve

Thanks for the advise, what are the benefits (in your opinion) of ttn5 over st3 and will my current hardware (mio 168) support ttn5 with its inbuilt antenna.

it is not listed as being compatible but i have used it on a 168 and it seems fine to me. I personally think that the TomTom software is more user friendly and looks better than the Navman software. TomTom also supports a lot of added features like traffic, weather and allows you to personalise a lot of the look and feel.

TT5 is what I run on my MIO 168 and it is fine. Not slow or anything, maps work fine. Just that support seems to be lacking i.e. search forums for troubleshooting issues and not the tomtom web site.
